ORIGIN
100% Moscato Bianco. Strevi, in the Bagnario Valley, Scrapona vineyard, planted in 1996 using wood from the old vines previously on the site. The soil is predominantly marly, sandy, and southwest-facing.
VINIFICATION
The grapes are dried on racks in naturally ventilated rooms during September and October. This is followed by soft pressing and the selection of skins for maceration. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, lasts up to 6 months, and stops without filtration due to the high concentration of sugars and alcohol. Subsequently, the wine is aged in old wooden barrels for 2 years.
TASTING
Intense golden yellow color with amber hues. Intense aroma with notes of jam, candied citrus, and baked apples enriched by sweet spices. Sweet with hints of fruit, including dried fruit, and spices, in an elegant balance with a lovely acidic and savory vein.
Pairings
Suitable for important food and wine occasions. Excellent with foie gras, blue cheeses, and both fresh and dry pastries. Store the bottle lying down in a cool, dark place. Open and serve at 12°C in small glasses for passito and meditation wines. Once opened, the passito remains good for several days. It is also suitable for aging for many decades.
