Marenco owns some of the best vineyards in the Strevi and Nizza Monferrato areas — two regions that alone tell the dual soul of the winery: sweet and aromatic wines on the one hand, and Barbera on the other.

Strevi, among the 52 municipalities of the Moscato d'Asti DOCG appellation, is one of the areas historically most suited for this varietal — here Moscato finds a particular balance between natural sweetness and freshness. A few kilometers away, towards Acqui Terme, lies the small and precious Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG appellation, cultivated in just 12 municipalities.

Nizza Monferrato, where Marenco cultivates Barbera, is considered the home of this grape variety: here originates Nizza DOCG, the highest expression of Piedmontese Barbera.
